At present time, April in year of our Lordt 2017, I spend a good portion of my life commuting from my lovely Coconut Grove home to an industrial park in what used to be beautiful Everglades. That is, approximately an hour and a half and 50 miles per day of my life is spent in the car I begrudgingly bought myself, or 630 minutes and 350 miles per week. But who’s counting?
The only real upside to this arrangement is that, if I am not rueing the day I was born fighting epically stupid traffic, some of my best solutions or ideas come out of completely spacing out on these drives. And on Wednesday of this week, on my way to work, I mused to myself, “There has to be a better way people can get to know me through my subtlety signature taste in music.”
Without further ado, I give you the sublime (and surprising) “Intro to Beastie Music:”
Bonus: This is my favorite song of all time, which happens to be by my favorite band of all time, with some pictures of space and some neat trivia. The audio isn’t that great, but I have fond memories of discovering this video and I’m crossing my fingers that the rumors Tool is finally coming to streaming are true.
